Third Quarter 2019
[August 10th]2019 Labor Day Parade Monday, September 2nd
Tte Labor Day Parade this year is on September 2nd. The parade meet-up will be the same as last year, by the PPG Paints Arena.
The traditional Labor Day Mass will be conducted at 8:00 am, at St. Benedict the Moor Church, located at Freedom Corner in the Hill District. We will be meeting for the parade itself at 8:30.
After the parade, all PMAPWU members and their family and friends who marched with us are invited to a picnic lunch at Avonworth Community Park, where we had our summer picnic.
Second Quarter 2019
[May 25th]2019 Northside Community Night — Pirates vs Tigers
Wednesday, June 19th, 2019 at 7:05 pm. Tickets are $45 per person. The ticket price includes a tailgate party with music, games, food and beverages, an event tee shirt and the ticket (Corner Box Section 130-131) which includes a $5 loaded value per ticket. The tailgate party will begin at 5:30 pm. Half-price Penn Brewery beers & band after game at Mike’s Beer Bar

Patrick McShane Memorial Scholarship Winners Announced

First Quarter 2019
[January 20th]Patrick McShane Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to current graduating high school senior or college undergraduate whose parent or legal guardian is a current active member in PMAPWU. Four names will be selected.
- Type: Academic Scholarship
- Current graduating high school senior or college undergraduate whose parent or legal guardian is a current active member in PMAPWU, AFL-CIO per established rules set forth by the Scholarship Committee.
- A posting to all the station/branches and AO offices will be going out this month.
- Deadline to apply is May 17, 2019.

Other scholarships available from the national APWU include the EC Hallbeck Scholarship Program (2019), the Vocational Scholarship Program (2019), and the Best Essay Award (a onetime $2,000 payment toward 4-year college tuition.)
